Welcome Friends!

"The more we get together the happier we'll be"

Wednesday

29 February

Dear Readers,
Please let me apologize for the lack of postings lately. A combination of winter funk, my computer/ camera connection acting up and an increase in the need for a social life have left me with little time or energy for posting.

Additionally, the menu and the activities of the children have been pretty much the same the last couple weeks as they have been in previous weeks, so I haven't felt as motivated to keep up to date.

But here are some fun things that have been happening:

22 February

 Signs of an early spring?

It was so beautiful and sunny this morning, we started the day off outside. The children used wrenches to help Adam tighten the bolts on the new play dome. We played hide and seek, with everyone taking a turn hiding and seeking. We also let the chickens out of their coop, and said good morning to the animals in the barn.

 Putting up the dome

laying out the base (on Tuesday)

bolting the base together

almost done (Tuesday evening)

fitting an allen wrench into the hole on the bolt

putting on the nut covers

testing out the strength- good thing Adam weighs less then 1000 lbs.

  In the classroom

The children have been exploring new items at the sensory table this week, including lots of different balls, ramps (protective cardboard edges on the play dome box that arrived last Thursday) and plastic butterflies (Thanks Raineys!)
